My research centers on investigating the pivotal role of neutrophils and inflammation in the context of intracranial aneurysm healing. Intracranial arteries rely on a delicate balance between endothelial cells and the extracellular matrix to maintain structural integrity and functionality. Disruptions to this equilibrium heighten the risk of aneurysm formation, potentially leading to severe outcomes such as subarachnoid hemorrhage. Specifically, my study focuses on the effects of neutrophil depletion, aiming to discover whether Neutrophils, recognized as key contributors to the inflammatory cascade within aneurysms, alter intracranial aneurysm healing. By delving into the interactions between neutrophils, inflammation, and the healing process, this research strives to provide practical insights for targeted therapeutic approaches, ultimately improving long-term outcomes for individuals at risk of intracranial aneurysms.
